Privacy

Last updated 23 August 2026. Short version: we keep what we need to make your order and talk to you about it, and nothing else.

What we hold

• Your design — the place you chose, and the words, names and dates you typed. We need this to make the piece.
• Your email address, so we can confirm the order, send digital files, and answer you.
• A shipping address, for physical orders only. It goes to the print company so they can post it to you.
• A record of the order — what you bought, when, and what happened to it.

What we do not hold

We never see your card number. Payment happens on Stripe's systems; we receive only a confirmation that it worked, and the last four digits shown on your receipt.

We do not run advertising trackers on this site.

Who else sees it

• Stripe — payment.
• Printful — for a physical order only: your name, address and the artwork, so the piece can be printed and posted.
• Resend — sends our email to you.

That is the complete list. We do not sell your details to anyone, for any purpose.

Saved designs

If you save a design and give us your email, we keep it for 30 days so you can come back and finish it, and we may send you one reminder. Every such email has an unsubscribe link, and using it stops them for good. We do not send marketing to people who have not asked for it.

How long we keep things

Order records are kept for seven years, because tax rules require it. Saved designs that are never bought are deleted after 30 days. Download links expire after 30 days.

Your say

Write to hello@placeswehold.com and ask for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it. We will do it. If you are in the UK or EU, this is your right under the GDPR; we will honour the request wherever you live.
